The pdf gives list of 200 cities and towns. It also gives a system for solid waste management. The first most important part is to keep the cities clean by making sure all of the garbage reaches its processing destination, it is not thrown everywhere in the cities, and the common man is trained for this purpose. Before using solid waste management initiatives like waste separation, the general cleanliness system must be in place. Hence, an entire system for how this can be achieved is proposed.

I suggest "AMRAVATI" Maharashtra State, as Town Name for Pilot Testing of Solid Waste Management. I have collected all detailed information about collection and transportation system existing in city, also conducted survey by distributing forms to household, Also photograph of all dust bins in all 81 Wards are taken to understand current situation. I believe Bangalore can be used as a sure shot success Pilot testing city. Why sure-shot? because Bangalore is IT city so its quite clear that awareness can be preached easily since its a internet savvy city. Especially awareness can be conducted through the IT companies in Bangalore. However, the most difficult city for the pilot- test would be Kolkata since its a very muddy city. Awareness is very less in this city and moreover people are very lazy to do anything about cleanliness.

We can setup Vermicompost fields for disposal of Solid waste and use it as a fertilizer for agriculture. Hyderabad can be one city where we can try this. It needs a piece of GOV land. I would like to do this activity.

As the urban sprawl is growing, there is a huge problem of dumping the solid waste creating by the city populations as there are limited lands for dumping grounds, solution to this all the solid wast generated should be dumped in the craters made by stone quarries in the mountains or hills nearby urban region and when the mountain regains its position, cover it by thick layer of sand and do plantation on it, because of this mountain will get back his beauty & problem of shortage of land for dump

I can speak of Hyderabad and Vijayawada only as I am familiar with the 2 cities. Cleanup job must be decentralized to the colony level where accountability is visible.Segregated waste collection at colony level is effective.Present problem at colony level starts when the municipal authorities collection begin. This process is most inefficient and regularly irregular. Govt must encourage colonies to give segregated waste and must be linked with any PPP initiative plant for proper transport/on ward

I seriously believe Tirupur is the best place to start this. This town generate big employment and earning for the country however lately suffering from the environmental issues. Any test or pilot here in this city would give us the following benefit 1. Our approach towards solid waste and waste water processing tested against some extreme environment 2. This would also benefit the local companies or small scale industries to adopt them to get rid of these issues
