Smart City Talk Show - Tumakuru

Tumakuru City Corporation, Tumakuru is currently engaged together with their appointed consultants, LEA ASSOCIATES SOUTH ASIA PVT LTD (LASA), in preparing the city report (concept plan and proposal) as part of the Smart City challenge (stage-2). For the reason that the citizen is seen at the centre of the entire exercise, their participation and contribution is very important. In round 1 of citizen engagement, several face-to-face interactions targeting various interest groups NGOs, industry representatives, academics, intelligentsia, student groups, associations etc, have already been successfully conducted in Tumakuru city. Apart from this, print and electronic media, internet and smart tools have been put to effective use for achieving increased public participation. This talk is being organized to meet the mandatory requirement of the GOI and among others, being attended by the worshipful Mayor, Tumakuru City Corporation, MLA of the Tumakuru City, Commissioner, Tumakuru City Corporation, Chief Accounts Officer Tumakuru City Corporation and Dr. Agha M A Siddiqui, Team Leader cum Urban Management Specialist LEA ASSOCIATES SOUTH ASIA PVT LTD (LASA). The agenda of the talk is increased public awareness and interest in their own city becoming modern and smart; the agenda is also to include and involve even larger public groups that their voice and idea can be heard and included in the smart city proposal/challenge.
