I propose a **Student Provident Fund (SPF)** for students pursuing higher education and vocational courses. The idea is simple: “Counting starts from zero. Life doesn’t.” -- The students after education shouldn't start their life with 0 Each student would have an SPF account through EPFO, owned by the student and portable across eligible institutions. A proposed model could have ₹3,000/month from the student and ₹3,000/month from the university, with targeted Government support for economically weaker families. The corpus, with simple interest, would provide a financial bridge from education to employment or further education. Limited withdrawals could be allowed during study, with full access after course completion. SPF would not guarantee employment. It would help students with job search, relocation, upskilling, certification and further education. **Education → SPF → Employment → Long-term Savings** I have prepared a detailed policy proposal for consideration.
