Vadodara has been selected in the list of 100 Smart cities under the Smart City Mission of Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD), Government of India launched in June 2015, and is gaining momentum in various parameters to get shortlisted in the final round of Smart City Challenge where 20 cities would be selected in the first year.

The vibrant and enlightened citizens of Vadodara are requested by Municipal Corporation of Vadodara to post their suggestions for enhancement and improvement of municipal and city’s basic infrastructure and amenities so as to improve the quality of life of its citizen and share their opinion and area of improvement to make “Vadodara – a Smart City”.

The citizens and various stakeholders of Vadodara is its biggest strength. Let’s participate to make this mission inclusive and meaningful for every common man, every citizen and transform this vision of smart city into realty.

WE are very lucky that we have the Vishvamitri in Vadodara.But we are so unlucky that Vishvamitri river have been became drainage instead of river.We should try to clean water of our river and should make river to river.there is no natural place in vadodara where public can get peace,We should develop public place in vadodara. Thank you.

All the criteria should be looked and accomplished as per order,viz.Water-complete Vadodara city should be supplied with 24 hrs.water with ample pressure.Then electric supply,which is already in excellent condition.Only thing that electric pole system should be replaced with underground wiring system. People of the city should be made to inculcate habit of keeping the surroundings clean.However all the latest technology should be engaged to keep the city clean.

Smart City can’t make without cleanliness. First of all each and every areas of the city should be properly clean twice in a day with the help of smart technology. Dust can also be clean from all the road of the city. Open area i.e. besides footpaths/roads must be cover with green loan. 24X7 cleaning should be monitoring by CCTV camera. Plantation is also important part to make a clean and green environment pollution free smart city.

Smart cities start with smart systems, working for the benefit of both residents and the environment. Electric grids, gas distribution, water distribution, public and private transportation, commercial buildings, hospitals, homes — these form the backbone of the city’s efficiency, livability, and sustainability. It is the improvement and integration of these critical city systems — done in a step-by-step manner - that become the keystones to making a smart city a reality.

Vehicle parked along road side, which are not in working condition or unidentified are to be removed or shifted to designated area.

Boost and encourage public transport, make public transport reasonable and trustworthy in terms of timing and routes like BEST in Mumbai. As people will use more public transport, they will less use their own vehicle leading to less pollution and less traffic problem.

My first thing we have change traffic control rules. Because our major problem vehicles load and as people crowd more than vehicles crowds.
