To encourage JAN BHAGIDARI and to make the procedure of budget formation transparent, the Union Ministry of Finance has decided to invite suggestions for Union Budget 2017-18. As you may recall, this has been a regular feature on MyGov for the last two years.

Citizen from all walks of life are welcome to be a part of the budget making process. You can submit your suggestions either directly in the comments box or attach a PDF document.

Last year we had an overwhelming response with over 40,000+ suggestions for Union/ Railway budget. Several of the suggestions received on MyGov were incorporated in the last year’s budget. To know more about these, click here.

We seek your valuable ideas to continue the tradition of the Union Budget incorporating the citizens’ aspirations. The last date for submissions on this forum is 20th January, 2017.

Sir, you need to do something to increase tax compliance. Its such a shame that only 24 lakh people in our country have declared income above Rs.10 lakh. And its unfair for the honest tax payers that they keep paying while others are enjoying their ill gotten wealth. Its your responsibility to make sure that everyone pays taxes as per the law of the land and reduce the burden on honest tax payers.

respected sir, i am accounts officer at AOGE Navy Valsura, i have seen that the expenditure which the army navy and air force are expending is some what infructious. following few suggetions. 1. land which all the units have is more than sufficient to plant fruit bearing trees, useful medicinal plants, jungle plants like teak, shisam etc. people be engaged to produce the crop, dairy farms be rejuvinated, indian cow be fed for good A2 milk

I want to this budget in 2016-17 Rs. 10000000 for the creation of my village to become a model village. I invest this money in my village for the solution of all the people's problems of my village, such as what is the problem of banking, what is the problem of people's living style, what is the problem of education, what is the problem of jobs. When I short out all these problems then my village becomes a Model village of India.
