Sagar is one of the most important cities in the Bundelkhand region and presently caters to all urban and rural settlements located within 60 km radius. It acts as a major agro market hub for the neighboring villages and towns.

As Sagar has been selected in 100 Potential Smart Cities, it is a cumulative endeavor to make the city resilient, sustainable and Liveable.

In first round of submission, Sagar scored 50.27% figuring at rank 51 and in round two Sagar again missed the top-27 list only by a whisker. Now, as a part of challenge, Sagar is required to rebuild its Smart City Plan and Proposal to get through the Round – III. The Sagar Municipal Corporation is currently working on upgrading its proposals for Round 3 of the Smart City Mission. One of the key processes of the Mission is to engage with the citizens at every stage in order to prioritize the areas for intervention.

Municipal Corporation urges all the citizens and stakeholders to kindly review the proposal submitted earlier in Round – II (accessible through link below) and share their valuable opinion and views so that the physical, social and knowledge infrastructure of city is upgraded to match the modern times as well as maintain our traditional roots and culture.

Citizens are encouraged to write their valuable suggestions as well as improvements they’d like to see for making Sagar a model smart city.

The recycling plastic is big problem of Government. For this I had one suggestion. In order to make smart city road more durable the Government can use the Recycle bottles, plastic material which is in waste form. The plastic can be melted along with Tar and can be used in construction of road this will help to create more durable roads & will extend the life or Roads, even potholes can be fixed by using mixture of tar & recycle plastic Thus Government can solve the problem.
