For Aizawl to self sustain itself it needs to be better connected.Better roads, rails, even the airport and better internet connection.More emphasis should be laid on city planning, proper sector planning and better e-governance.

Effective implementation of building guidelines and construction rules as the city is in earthquake sensitive zone V. Haphazard constructions and buildings pose a threat to the future of the city. Recent incidents are enough to learn important lessons on this area.

Introduction of alternative renewable power supply like solar and wind energy would seem like a viable option (apart from many) for the development of smart Aizawl city. Abundant clean water and power supply are the basic necessities for any developed cities/countries. Although proper supply of clean water could be compromised to some extent, Aizawl seem to be lacking Big time on proper power supply at the moment.

We need to grow and expand our minds as well as our city. The city is too tight and over occupied and at noon for a vehicle owner it is almost unbearable with the traffic and dense crowd. Renovation of Schools and Government Buildings to a remote area or on the outside boundary of the city will definitely help in this situation and further more expand the city in different variations. BTW a cheaper internet facility and introduction of mobile application is much required for easy access
