As we know mangaluru is on west side of karanataka near to the western ghats, we actually can concentrate on renewable power-plants like wind power-plants and tidal power-plant on much more grand scale....and a part of a city can be or more specifically residential part of the city can get a power from those plants.....

Idea for smart City:
As of now number of services are getting drive through mail or posters as campaign or some other format in india. Like for example like Cab booking (Women Cab/Normal), health checkup campaign, quiz contest, Internal Offers in Hospital discounts, restaurants offers with discounts, govt plan, Kids Shows & etc.
Secondly if our country people is traveling for business purpose, then also few of services shall be required as basic amenities.

Infrastructure is a big challenge as the City has developed without any proper plans. Roads must be sufficiently wide and must provide Parking Areas in major parts of the City with the help of Private Equity Participation. Public Toilets in major Areas of the City must be considered. Safe Footpaths besides areas for City Bus parking. Replacing the City buses with Mini buses can also help in reducing Traffic congestion.

Sir,
Here major area is Railway,Harbor & Water Conservation
1.Need proper Railway facility from State capital to Coastal belt until Goa.it can enhance commercial activity
2.Dredging of Harbor & small jetty will enhance sea product & welfare of poor community
3.Sufficient rainfall is there but it goes to sea easily. by summer season arise water scarcity. Rain harvest & water conserving measure like water conserving plant & water board can provide water to surrounding drought area

It should truly reflect the Rich Tradition of Mangalore such as Tulunad culture & heritage, landmarks like Education Hub, Banking Capital, Healthcare hub etc. Evolve into a Green & Clean City. Emphasis on Renewable resources, Ban on Plastic & Gutkha. Every 50 Mtr provide Waste Bins. Do not yield to selfish lobbies, be it political, social or Real Estate.

5) Since we are the coastal belt of Karnataka, can't we invest this amount for Desalinated Seawater Project like Gulf countries.
As a lay man I knew all these things, I don't think our educated minister's not aware about all these things.
Sir, On behalf of all Magalurean's I request you involve in this matter urgently and we hope you will do the needful at the earliest. Jai Hind

2) This project will neither provide sufficient water to Mangaluru City nor to other districts because there is no much water in the river in the month of Sep. Then in the summer from where the water will come ?.
3) If at all this 12000 crores project implementing then it will become Mr.Veerappa Moily & Mr.D V Sadananda Gowda bhai bhai Scam.
4) Sir, Please take the full details of this project from our MP Mr.Nalin Kumar Kateel.

Thank u Modiji for choosing Mangaluru has Smart City. I would like to bring few issues and some suggestions to your notice.
1) There is a project called Yethina Hole which is a diversion of our life line Nethravati river taking place in our SMART city. Now in the month of Sep there is no sufficient water in this river. Our leaders saying that out of this project 24 Tmc or 2.4 Tmc(we still have confusion) will be supplied to Kolar,Tumkur & other districts of Karnataka.
