Idea for smart City: As of now number of services are getting drive through mail or posters as campaign or some other format in india. Like for example like Cab booking (Women Cab/Normal), health checkup campaign, quiz contest, Internal Offers in Hospital discounts, restaurants offers with discounts, govt plan, Kids Shows & etc. Secondly if our country people is traveling for business purpose, then also few of services shall be required as basic amenities.

Infrastructure is a big challenge as the City has developed without any proper plans. Roads must be sufficiently wide and must provide Parking Areas in major parts of the City with the help of Private Equity Participation. Public Toilets in major Areas of the City must be considered. Safe Footpaths besides areas for City Bus parking. Replacing the City buses with Mini buses can also help in reducing Traffic congestion.

It should truly reflect the Rich Tradition of Mangalore such as Tulunad culture & heritage, landmarks like Education Hub, Banking Capital, Healthcare hub etc. Evolve into a Green & Clean City. Emphasis on Renewable resources, Ban on Plastic & Gutkha. Every 50 Mtr provide Waste Bins. Do not yield to selfish lobbies, be it political, social or Real Estate.

I would like to bring few issues and some suggestions to your notice. 1) There is a project called Yethina Hole which is a diversion of our life line Nethravati river taking place in our SMART city. Now in the month of Sep there is no sufficient water in this river. Our leaders saying that out of this project 24 Tmc or 2.4 Tmc(we still have confusion) will be supplied to Kolar,Tumkur & other districts of Karnataka.
