one of the major problems faced by us is traffic congestion. the immediate need of the hour to decongest the city from heavy traffic is by mainly two methods.
1) the bus stand has to be moved out of the city, possibly at the proposed pumpvelle location.
2) the second proposal will be a ring road around the city.we should feel blessed since we live in a city surrounded by a beautiful landscape.to highlight this, the ring road should pass through these places and form a green corridor along it.

(2) build proper footpaths and double roads
(3) more trains connecting various parts of the country
(4) more international flights should be laning in mangaluru airport
(5) City bus facility should be similar to Bengaluru

Good quality that can last for atleast 7-10 years without repairs.Footpaths alongside all roads.Have skybridges at all important signal junctions with escalators/lifts for the benefit of senior citizens.Important signal junctions to have flyover or underpass to avoid traffic jamming .To have bus bay's on roads to avoid traffic blocking have waste disposal plant to recycle/ destroy or convert waste to compost.Waste water recyling plant to be set up in partnership with local industries.

Mangalore is the only city having road, Railways and airtport facility. All three connections makes this city as one of the contender for the first 20 smart cities. As a education hub, temple city mangalore needs drastic infrastructure developments. Un finished roads, footpaths and proper drainage systems to be developed. Needs ringroads near industrial area with sufficient parking bay and broad roads in city limits.

A coastal city growth should be designed geographically.Centralizes growth is causing traffic, drainage, disease problems.Expand d city, involve neighbouring towns instead of going fr skyscrapers within d city.
Coastal city with heritage temple can attract n develop tourism will ultimately create jobs fr local people n tourism vl spread rich cultural message throughout the world.
Create jobs fr youth with GOOD BASIC PAY nt as peanuts to retain n channel positive youth energy of mangalore ans.

Yes Mangalore deserves to be the smart city
But lots of implementation must be done
1. Yes we Indians are fond and crazy of cricket, but where is int cricket stadium ?
2.roads: good in some place but in some places I see lots of ponds on the road which causes an accident, roads must be implemented
3.education : mlore is an educational hub in which when it comes to govt education center,I see schools are untidy in which govt failed to keep that standard
4.MustImprove tourism .

No Smart City Without Footpaths. Pl make walkable, stumble-free, and encroachment-free footpaths in every smart city for ordinary citizens, particularly for the elderly and children. There cannot be a smart city without footpaths.

Mangalore is an education hub with plenty of professional colleges. It's a huge bundle of human resource. This is our best shot at building the knowledge industry.Let this area be of great focus in the Area based development proposal.Let's also focus on building tourism by planning water parks or adventure parks(like sea world or ocean park),Star Resorts and restaurants by the beach.Ofcourse, better traffic solutions, advanced infrastructure, Renewable energy for power and water is a must.
