For steel manufacturing companies there should be a proper transport and logistics handling infrastructure. So better roads, better equipment like bigger cranes, less bureaucratic involvement and less toll taxes on roads and better connectivity to nearest port. For any city having manufacturing plants also should have better waste disposal methods and pollution control mechanism. Most important thing that is commonly ignored in India is safety of workers, automate and reduce risks.

Although we are known to stay at steel city, an industrial hub, still there is a lack of job opportunity, hence this part has to be improved. Also Rourkela is a very greenery city and modernisation of this city should not hamper its green culture.

The smart cities should have smart people who have moral courage to follow discipline of traffic rules and do not jump in traffic signals. There is great problem of Parking in any city particularly in shopping areas. The width of road is eaten away by parking of Vehicles. The Road and lane which is less than 40 feet or so the shops may shifted the first floor and parking in ground floor or space of 20 feet on either side road may be left for parking so that free flow traffic will be ensured.
