As part of citizen engagement & consultation process (for preparation of Smart City Proposal) Aligarh Municipal Corporation organized a wide range of activities - e.g. Ward level consultations, Stakeholders Consultations, essay writing competition, vision statement competition etc starting from 1stOct 2015 to 30th Nov 2015. Apart from this, other social media tools (Facebook, Twitter, Nagarnigam Website) used to reach citizens.

At the end of the Round-1 citizen consultation process, Aligarh nagar nigam received overwhelming response from its citizens which helped in arriving at priority sectors for development, vision and goals, smart solutions.On the basis of suggestions received from citizens of Aligarh, a Draft Smart City Proposal for Aligarh City is prepared. NNA had taken an utmost care in preparation of draft proposal and incorporated citizen’s voices in the form of projects and sub-projects.

Now, NNA invite all citizens to participate in this process (Round-3 Citizen Engagement) and suggest for improvement of the proposal. Specific and brief suggestions would help us in converting them as projects.
