The Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Pasighat is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, PMC urges the citizens of Pasighat to share their opinions and ideas to make our “Pasighat- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to our city!!

Your valuable suggestions can bring significant transformation to your city and improve the life of citizens.

Please share your ideas to make Pasighat – a credible Smart City.

The last date to submit your suggestions / comments is 10th December, 2015.

Sanitation is an issue to be addressed, then connectivity in term of roadways, Railway & digital gateway .Health and Education of stranded that is required for all of us. Smart city should be a safe city. Safety supports from geographical existence to human survival. So, embankment of Siang River is the foremost.

maintaining the green wealth wealth of the city by establishing parks ,sanctuaries, conserving forest, drain should be cover properly, waste should not be throw here and there it should be disposed properly in isolated areas. Building of street lights , so that there will a protection in the night time , woman safety and many major development.

Ensure basic civic infrastructure such as good educational facilities good like digital and technological teaching, good transportation facilities good health care facilities ,proper drainage system, clean roads, proper traffic rules pollution free environment ,

The Department studies, assesses and forecasts the need for technological development in specific industrial sectors in particular. The public is also responsible for facilitating and increasing the smart city. The Govt. is also responsible for Intellectual Property Rights relating to Patents, Designs, Trade Marks and Geographical Indication of Goods and oversees the initiative relating to their promotion and protection.

Factors that contribute to the definitions of a smart city are : - 1. The application of a wide range of electronic and digital technologies to communities and cities. 2. The use of ICT to transform life and working environment within the region. 3. The embedding of such ICT in govt, system. 4. The territorialisation of practices that brings ICT and people together to enhance the innovation and knowledge that they officer.

Secondly the people have to understand how it like to be living in an standardized area and it lies in the citizens of Pasighat how to use the provided resources and bring out the best in it.Pasighat was known as a clean and green city until recently. Now it is just another hub of unchecked concrete growth.

As Pasighat is a mini India, discrimination between the different sects of the people must be stopped. Because, as is evident, outsiders are and would be the great contributors in the developments of Pasighat.

The municipal officer should be force to do their jobs and at least clean the town or collect the waste from the dumb and disposed of properly other basic requirement such as electricity, sanitation facility etc. In order to be a smart city, I say the citizen of pasighat should think smartly in the first place. Pasighat is an educational center and it should be further taken to the next level.

It is based on connectivity of all. All information system from the city are linked and everything in connected be an information system through technologies such as wireless networks.
