In fact, locally produced - be it agricultural or horticultural products could not be sold outside because of high transportation charges. Surplus orange/pine apple is produce in the district; surplus green vegetable is produce at Jhumpani village, mushrooming of tea grower is coming up. Besides, rice, maize etc is also produce in surplus. Nearest city to be exported is Guwahati. On reaching there, cost will be very high because of high transportation charge.

Pasighat has the potential to be Eco-Tourism Hub in Arunachal Pradesh and in India. The mighty Siang River which flows beside the Pasighat City provides lot of opportunities for Eco-Tourism, Water Sports such as white water rafting, angling.

Around Pasighat we have many Entrepreneurs specially in Tea Gardening. We are one of the major areas of Arunachal from where we are exporting ORGANIC TEA to foreign countries. It is another field where government of India should encourage and help people with facilities like Trains (proposed), Waterways, Airways so that the Entrepreneurs should be able to develop themselves. Train which is the most common source of transportation in India should be given a priority to encourage tourism.
