Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) is making all efforts to make citizens comfortable by giving them all infrastructure available to them. The Achievements of NMMC as known to citizens are mentioned below:

• High per capita income and cosmopolitan population
• Higher Education Institutes- Engineering, Management and Medical
• Major industrial area across Thane Belapur Road
• Biggest trading APMC
• Part of Proposed Knowledge Corridor
• Two big Infotech parks and presence of major players in these parks and outside
• Planned Urban Development
• Picturesque coastal area and very green Parsik hill
• Local dialling with the commercial capital

The objective of the consultations with the Citizens of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation is to motivate the people to get involved in the process of development of city into SMART CITY taking advantage of above schemes & to know the views and concerns of the stakeholders about the city. Their views and suggestions will have major contribution in formulating the vision for the city. This is an effort to connect YOU as a citizen to your local Government.

Your responses shall help us incorporate your inputs and emerge as a winner in the list of 10 cities that will undertake the smart city journey from Government of Maharashtra. Ideas are sought related to smart governance, smart information, smart citizens, smart mobility, smart energy etc. which are ecologically friendly, technologically integrated and meticulously planned with a particular reliance on the use of information technology to improve efficiency.

The Pavements , buildings and Roads to be made Handicap friendly. currently, its with great difficult for Person with Disability to commute

Doubt if Railway station comes under MOUD, but since discussion is on Mumbai city, most of the Local Railways station are anti Person with Disability with no ramp or handgrills

A city is not smart until it manages its waste well. Waste management process should be decentralised and locality based, quick and real time. It is surprising to note that 70% of waste is organic in nature & can be reprocessed before it becomes waste or, thereafter, can be recycled in a sustainable manner. 1. Roads- we need better roads. Reconstruct from scratch if you have to. 2. Metro- fast construction of metro lines is the need of the hour. 3. Bus connectivity- separate lanes for buses on highways is a must. 4. One commonly accepted card- just like we have a smart card in railways, we need to create a card which can be used on any mode of transport in Mumbai.( like oyster card in London) 5.hawker's and street vendors- create space for them (below flyovers, underground markets, stations)

Heartiest Congratulation to Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation for its splendid performance. NMMC is already beautiful and smart city and providing best services likes road, water supply, Storm water, sewerage, solid waste, turbhe scientific landfill site etc. I will like to recommand more green cover, rain water harvesting, usage of solar energy, small scale solid waste management, reuse of waste water making this use as mendatory and giving incentives to citizens using the same.

To make Navi Mumbai "Smart City" there should be fast communication between citizens and NMMC authorities. Govenment should take quick decisions and actions on peoples problems and issues faced by them and they shuold also keeps vigilance on illegal activities and takes prompt action against it.
