Under Smart City Mission Stage 2 challenge, the Municipal Corporation of Muzaffarpur has received overwhelming response from its citizen in smart city suggestions and ideas.

As part of citizen engagement & consultation process (for preparation of Smart City Proposal) Muzaffarpur Municipal Corporation organized a wide range of activities - e.g. Field Visits, Stakeholders Consultation, essay, submission of suggestion forms, vision statements, social media (Facebook,Google+ and Twitter) based activities, citizen awareness campaigns, smart city mobility van etc. to ensure that every citizen (encompassing all age groups and sections of society) must participate in Smart City Proposal making exercise.

Smart Parking to be use for key junction of the city. For example p+ vertical pulley Parking.. and should be strictly implemented.. Environment of the city should be at priority. Mobile app to be introduced in city..

WASTE WATER MANAGEMENT----Waste water can be reused for house hold works, we can use basin and bath water for flush in latrine. Advantage of Waste Water Management 1> It can save 20% of water without any investment. 2> It helps in conservation of water 3> Less use of water helps in water lodging problems. 4> No any mechanical energy required in filling flush tank with waste water.

City has major problems related to Drainage, Solid waste disposal and Traffic congestion. For improving the Drainage system, a wholistic drainage plan is required and not limited to small sections. For handling Solid waste, contract on PPP mode will be better option with strict enforcement by authorities against those not complying the rules. For traffic congestion, encroachment is a challenge. Core areas of the city identified should not be allowed with engine driven motorable vehicles.

Well drainage system with a parking area is a must have for this sweet city. Wine will be banned hope so the tobacco eaters who split everywhere must be boycotted. A small step towards being smart. Jai hind #bjp #namo
