Lucknow is the capital city of the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. A major metropolitan city of India. It is the second largest city in north and central India after Delhi. Lucknow has always been known as a multicultural city that flourished as a North Indian cultural and artistic hub and seat of Nawab power in the 18th and 19th centuries. It continues to be an important centre of government, education, commerce, aerospace, finance, pharmaceuticals, technology, design, culture, tourism, music and poetry.

Lucknow Municipal Corporation is preparing the Smart City Proposal with an intent to plan and provide smart solutions to the city and welcomes the citizens of Lucknow to post their views, opinions, thoughts and plans on smart solutions for their needs related to water supply, sanitation, solid waste management, storm water drainage, waste water management, affordable housing, energy efficiency, use of renewable and solar energy, non-motorized transport, underground electric cabling, open space development, safety, healthcare, education, culture and heritage, public transport, key infrastructure such as pedestrian walkways, cycle tracks, roads, underpasses, Fly overs, services such as e-governance tools etc.

Inputs from citizens is crucial for framing a vision for Lucknow and to get selected as one among the top 20 cities in the first year, in the Smart City Challenge round.

My Smart City must enhance quality, performance and interactivity of urban services, to reduce costs and resource consumption and improving the management of urban flows and allowing for real time responses to challenges. Major technological, economic and environmental changes have generated interest, including climate change, economic restructuring, the move to online retail and entertainment, ageing populations, and pressures on public finances

A smart city means, it should be self-dependent in –  Electricity  Drinking Water supply  Environment & Pollution  Safety & Security  Job requirements  Waste Management  Education  Transportation  Law & Order and E- governance  Parking & Market arrangements

मेरा सुझाव ये है की Lucknow city के चारो तरफ एक रिंग रोड बननी चहिये जिससे बाहर का सारा यातायात सिटी के बाहर चला जाए

Government should maintain a separate area for road wenders so that they do not open their shops on the road,this also causes traffic.Roads must be maintained

There should be dustbins at every 400m and fine should be imposed on the people who spit here and there. Roads should be repaired and maintainence should be done regularly. From Vardaan International Academy
