Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation, in Karnataka State has been selected by the Ministry of Urban Development as one of the 100 smart cities to participate in the “Smart City” Challenge Stage-2 by the Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India.

Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation was constituted in the year 1962 by combining two cities separated by a distance of 20 kilometers. This was a unique experiment in urban development history. The area of this Corporation is 202.3sq.kms, spread over 45 revenue villages. The population of the city as per the 1991 Census was 7 lakhs. The present population is nearly more than 9.43 lakhs. Under the Government of India Act of 1850, the Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal council was established on August 15, 1855.

mainly the road conditions... we want nice new roads and also more gardens .cleaner city.traffic rules are not strict thereby causing many accidents . many indeed. it is one of the main cities in karnataka but there is a lot of power cut. there are many many things to improve but these are the basic. lets all look forward for a clean,green,digital india with less number of crime scenes. yeah thats it....

Hello, In order to make Hubli Dharwad city a smart and a beautiful city to live in we must take care of the following factors very seriously ; 1) 24*7 light facility 2) improve road facility 3) cleanliness should be maintained

A way to smart city is not a straight one, it needs lot of cooperation by each and every citizen of Hubballi-Dharwad as it is their responsibility to lead a better life. Good roads, clean public toilets, parks, slum clearance etc.. are the vital things to be looked at.Also, strong laws are to enforced to maintain discipline of the city and its cleanliness.

There should wifi facility in buses so that people use public transport instead of their own vehicles...this reduces pollution and helps in making our city smart and clean.

we agree to make our hubbli-dharawad as a smart city,we will get more oparatunity for education,transportation(like airport),cleaniness,people will happy for getting smart city. we don't have nice road in hubballi dharwad,i hope after making smart city we'll get all our needs thankyou.

some of the problems to be improved 1.on time bus facilities 2.proper roads 3.metro 4.wifi at public places 5.traffic control 6.slums should be removed 7.cleaning of roads regularly

TO be called a Smart city every one should get all basic facilities . every poor family of city should be given house to stay . public toilets must built be maintained .

Hello, The number of commuters between Hubli and Dharwad cities are huge in number but the transport facilities are inadequate and people face a lot of transportation problems . The KSRTC buses are not functioning properly and also the state of roads is horrendous. So there is a need for a intra twin city railway line which helps a lot of commuters to reach their workplaces safely and in time and also the the roads must be inspected every month.

these are the problems to b solved\ roads,waste disposal on the road,traffic rules are not followed,cleanliness,govt hospitals cleanliness,environment is spoiled for construction roads and industries,disposal of dead bodies in water.
