Dharwad being known as Vidyanagri, need of the hour is quality education. well known schools and colleges should be brought in to the twin cities. The educational institutions should be strictly and periodically checked for the quality of the education and cleanliness and hygiene.

To become a smart city I think the main concentration should be on 1. maintainance of good infrastructure like road, drainage, drinking water system, cleanliness. At present all the above are in pathetic condition. 2. Need to remove the problem caused by stray dogs and pigs. 3. PM's swatch bharat yojana implementation is at the lowest in the twin cities. Need to give more stress on that. 4. proper bus and other transportation facility for citizens.CBT and Central bus stand to be upgraded.

Some places in #Dharwad where 4 roads meet do not have signals. Often traffic Police are present at such lanes to manage the traffic. Instead Smart #Signals must be put up at every place where 4 roads meet with CCTV cameras and the traffic police can monitor such places from the monitor room. A team of traffic police can be present at the place to only catch the rule breakers.

Many successful entrepreneurs from Hubli Dharwad running their businesses at metros like bangalore, pune etc. If proper infrastructure n environment created it would attract them to establish their business in the twin cities as well. It would be like welcome call back home. It would surely open doors for the growth for the region.

1)Begging should be considered crime and beggars should be employed to keep the city clean and they should be provided with food, clothes, medicine etc. 2)prizes should be given to area/locality which maintains cleanliness and greenery. 3)Using public transport should be made incentive oriented.

Every #road must be constructed using coal tar or concrete and the #pits dug to put up the pipelines or mobile network lines must be closed correctly and the road must be remade as it was before. This is the responsibility of the authorities who take up such initiatives. But unfortunately whenever the roads are dug up they are closed improperly leading to unevenness of the land and leading to problems in transportation. It can be avoided by instructing and monitoring the labours closely
