the fine will get added in their house tax bill. create a garbage processing unit. create compost from liquid waste and sell it farmers at subsidized rates. make home decoration items from solid waste. Trust me there are lot of desi artistes who do this regularly. and sell those items at subsidized rate to the public. you see everybody is making money here smile emoticon

in most of the areas of the city, no govt. authorized garbage vans come. those guys just take the salary from MCF and dont do their work .people are forced to throw garbage in open. introduce a garbage collection policy. people who would give solid and liquid waste separately will get paid for it 1rs. per kg and the people who give the garbage mixed up will be fined for it at the five times rate

get all the traffic signals automated. stop killing our beloved policement in that smoke through out the day. deploy CCTV cameras at all traffic signals. and at night send the report of each traffic signal/zebra crossing violations to that areas police station. police constables will send a challan to their houses through speed post. if they don't pay challan , seize their vehicles. you just a basic digital system to send the report to all the police

buy 500 ultra modern buses for with in city commute and connect all major and small areas of the city wherever bus can go. if people get world class facility at nominal price and at good frequency. nobody is an idiot who would still travel in his personal vehicle. delhi metro is a classic example for the same.

run plant adoption drive. make one tree per house policy in force with full effect. have audit every 6 months. go online, maintain the records of every tree with a serial code. if in the audit, the tree dies, fine the house owner. if he doesnt pay it, add the penalty in his house tax/electricity/water bill. if he is able to get the tree healthy for simultaneous for 4 audit cycles. give hime 5% rebate on electricity/water/sewage/house tax.

My submission was that we had already purchased a flat and we should try it before going back to a rented place in Delhi. Her argument was more convincing that the city lacked the basic infrastructure.
I remember the struggle led me to convince my reluctant neighbours to ...
