Bhubaneswar, the administrative, economic and cultural capital for the State of Odisha, provides a unique context today wherein the city’s rich heritage and its legacy of being India’s second planned city after Independence are juxtaposed harmoniously. As an emerging information technology (IT) hub with a strong investment-ready climate, Bhubaneswar is ready to take up the most pressing challenges that the citizens face to turn them into transformational opportunities for the city.

Shortlisted as one of the 100 cities, Bhubaneswar is initiating a citywide process to create a new vision that is inclusive and reflects the needs and dreams of all our citizens. With your participation the Bhubaneswar Smart City Proposal will provide solutions to ensure a sustainable, inclusive and resilient future for all citizens. In order to succeed in this ambitious mission, WE need YOU! We invite the citizens of Bhubaneswar to share their vision for making Bhubaneswar a truly smarter city that provides the highest quality of life.

Top Infrastructure facilities in Prioirity for BBSR :1)MRTS 2) Automated Street lighting system with control centre for traffic management,traffic diversion based on per min traffic footfalls, e-challan against violations, driving speed notification before every 2km to facilitate reach nect traffic just in time & avoid congestion. 2) Multi storeyed parking at every commercial center. 3) Under passages & Footover bridges with escalator at Vanivihar, jaydev vihar & acharya vihar flyover.

Heritage and Mobility should be focused with Smart solutions for a city like Bhubaneswar which will give a new paradigm, changing the fabric of the city in a totally new way.

It is should be must that Odia should be displayed in every sign boards, we are giving too much attention to hindi and english. Smart city should help a person from the state with limited understanding of English or Hindi. All the big cities in South prominently display in their mother tongue even in West Bengal. Odia learning centre should also be established for people from outside the state who wants to settle here to learn the language of the state.

Bhubaneswar being the capital of Odisha should depict or represent heritage of all parts of Odisha. The sign boards of shops should be in Odia with English which are not followed in BBSR. Being cosmopolitan doesn't mean not to promote one's mother tongues. Strict traffic and not allowing bikes to run on the footpath or cycle path also buses should exactly stop at the bus stop not in between the road. People should segregate their garbage into bio and no bio degradable.

No Smart City Without Footpaths. Pl make walkable, stumble-free, and encroachment-free footpaths in every smart city for ordinary citizens, particularly for the elderly and children. There cannot be a smart city without footpaths.

Odiya food, art, Heritage, history festivals need to be arrange often to promote. Startups, production industries & organic Agricultural production need to be promoted to ensure economic growth and employments. Streets need to be design more safety prospective and less signals. Create enough Parking space and automated parking ticketing system. CCTV cameras need to be covered all major areas.

Should focus on more safety, and control Criminal Activity. Police should be friendly not Scary. More Patrolling vans with modern equipment like teasers etc. Animals on street need to be control to avoid accidents and animal rehabs need to be prepare and focus on Animal adoptions. It will lead to a clean and safe environment. Encourage to use More public transport to control pollution. All govt hospitals need to be clean and modernize. need to open more Govt Clinics with specific distance gap.

Modern Garbage mgmt system. All Govt. offices and works need to be available online. A-Z Information centers at Airport/Railway Station & Bust Stands. Automated & Multilevel Parking System. 24 hrs Medicine Stores. Solar Powered Smart Street LED lights and divider lights. Bhubaneswar can use TRAM rather METRO now. Odisha History, Food, Art & heritage Museum. MORE Focused developing tourist places. PLANT More Trees and make parks with aged people friendly. Focus on using more SOLAR Powered elec.

Introduce an efficient, future focussed garbage management system. Website for payment of bills and taxes to local and state government like electricity , gas , water bill etc . Smart traffic management system using IT enabled service. Tourist places should have better facilities.
