Under the ‘Smart Cities’ mission, various smart and innovative works would be under-taken in various sectors such as drinking water system, sewerage, sanitation, SWM, public ...

Under the ‘Smart Cities’ mission, various smart and innovative works would be under-taken in various sectors such as drinking water system, sewerage, sanitation, SWM, public transport, storm water drains, parks, community hall, roads, flyover and others.

Agra Municipal Corporation has started doing innovation for improving the quality of life of citizens; like LED lighting, Solid waste management , Property Tax Collection etc. Recently, Agra Municipal Corporation was Awarded for successful implementation of LED Light project. AMC also start to collect household mobile numbers and e-mail id to send information about tax dues and tax collection electronically.

Under this Mission preparation of SMART City Plan and formulate its own unique vision and strategies through citizen‘s& stakeholder’s views and suggestion on Smart City. Agra Municipal Corporation requests all to share their ideas, suggestions, vision and innovative solutions and grab this opportunity to be a part of this challenge to transform Agra into SMART CITY.

Citizens are requested to suggest innovative, sustainable and SMART solutions for the Area Based Strategies:

• Retrofitting (Planning and improvement of infrastructure in an existing built-up area);
• Redevelopment (Replacement of existing built-up area and co-creation of new layout with enhanced infrastructure);
• Greenfield Development (planning and development in new areas) and also viable
• PAN City Initiative.

Agra Municipal Corporation is looking forward for valuable suggestions from all the citizens of Agra.

The last date to submit your suggestions/ comments is 30th November, 2015.

Agra is arround 250 KM far from National Capital. It has lot of potential to be the tourist hub. We should keep Agra neat and clean city. The state government should develop the Eco friendly industries in Agra city. In This regard private public partnership (PPP) model may be used.We should save our "Rashtriya Dharohar TAJ". So please do something to safe our Taj and other famous buildings

Agra: The city of Taj has made it to the list of 98 Smart Cities in the country. On Thursday, Union minister for urban development, Venkaiah Naidu, declared nominations of cities for government's Smart City flagship program. The list released included 24 states capitals and 12 cities from Uttar Pradesh. Sponsored by central government, Rs 48,000 crore has been earmarked for development of 100 Smart Cities. Each Smart City would get an assistance of Rs 100 crore per year for five years.
