Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is mandated to lay down a roadmap for Skill development and Entrepreneurship in the country. Developing a comprehensive and holistic policy document is an integral part of the process. This requires a fresh look at the already existing National Policy on Skill Development (NPSD), 2009.

The Ministry has been in the process of drafting a National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship 2015. Preliminary inputs were called for from all concerned Central Ministries/Departments on the work being done in the skill development and entrepreneurship space along with issues/concerns in the sector. The draft National Policy has been developed based on these preliminary inputs and in consultation with various stakeholders during the course of last six months. It is now desired to have wider consultations on the draft policy to develop a cohesive vision and roadmap for skilling India with speed, scale and standards.

I do agree with the views of Mr. Bhusan Bansal.I am in the field of skill training for more than two decades. Situation is pathetic so fare the employment of these trained persons are concerned. Registered Institutes are utilising the Govt funds for their benefits. Let the Govt publish the list of trained & employed persons with their address and contact details for verification. Govt should not allow the companies without training facilities to participate in bidding process of GOI projects.

I am not agree with the process of distributing money for skill development. In this enrollments are done just to get money. A proper job oriented program based on the qualification of the students should be done. So that everybody can earn something for his/her survival. For skill development as a training center we should select gov. institute, gov training center and all type of factories industries. Not any NGO or private semi gov training center, better to increase duration of graduation course, increase number of sheat for apprentices in all companies, start from lower/basic level not directly from Top.

I believe that whole skill development needs to be overhauled as per Industrial needs so that it really can help the people and country optimum. We need to do certain things as follows: 1.Only one program and nodal agency for Skill creation 2.The training center must be of International standers and more in numbers so that they always in reach of rural and urban India. 3.Local language should be used to imparting skill. 4.The center must be on PPP and INDUSTRY NEED driven

... 3. Crux is that we have to stop considering our unemployed as "bechare". Only highly evolved people alone can look at them as huge possibilities. so Modi ji should make a very specific call to only the ones who are now in the inner space of giving, to come and help our youth to experience their true potential. May be we will see the Ratans, Narayans, Azims from within India and NRIs leaving businesses, taking leaves from their jobs and joining in the mission to TRULY develop our youth.

step 2... 2. before hand skills let each one understand that they need money for good life and not, what they are obsessed with ie "Naukari". Money is goods and services, creation of which is the game of skills. So possessing exceptional skills is the key to good money and becoming more enterprising is way to greater wealth. Once understood a villager may begin to see his farms as a "farm to plate" e/retail opportunity or see the "field tourism" potential in his yellow mustard fields. step 3...
