Then, all indian companies need to be directed(those that use steel) to be procuring steel from indian counterparts rather than importing. 3. Export to other countries to be initiated in large quantities. 4. Cost of raw materials that are needed to produce steels should be low.

Self reliance through steel can be best achieved by make in India from start to end product .Importing steel from China should be stopped . More production of special alloy steels to bring self reliance in defense needs. Stop exporting iron ore rather production of quality steel at low cost should be aimed at. Need for self reliance through steel is the need of the hour. Steel is one industry, which directly or indirectly employs millions across our country. Just imagine, raw material is mined in one state, coal from other and steel plant in different state. Also the ancillary units developed around steel industry is unparalleled in comparison. Moreover, steel is strategic industry, considering defense grade steel to satellite material and other material of national importance.

In respect to self reliance through steel, I want to suggest that, India has large possibilities of mining of raw iron, there are so many mines , in which the iron production can be made at maximum level, there are necessities of final product of steel, hence, by using advance technology, our nation has started such types of production, further, production of arms and weapons usful to our army should be given priority to use the steel and iron, production of machineries , etc. best wishes
