Dear Sir
Young children play in the dirt and contract contagious diseases like ringworm from their friends.Mothers don't allow them to scratch the place as it helps in spreading ringworm. It itches a lot, so they ask the children to use a copper coin while scratching it. Most of them use some allopathic or ayurvedic ointment. Once my young brother had to suffer. When one got cured, another showed its ugly face somewhere.Mother was at her wits' end. Finally she followed someone's advice and roasted a dry coconut shell. After that she covered the burnt shell with a stone bowl( pathuri in Odia). When it became cold, she took out the stone bowl. One could see moisture in the bowl. She put her finger and used the droplets on my brother's ringworm. Her finger turned black. So she took a piece of cloth to use the droplets on the ringworm. She continued doing it for three to four days. The itching stopped and peeling of dark skin took place. My brothe got rid of the nagging skin infection.

The historic place Podagada, remains neglected despite its rich cultural heritage visible in the form of many scripts, sculptures, ruined forts, temples, coins etc. it seems to be facing an identify crisis. The Puskari, the capital of Nalas remained us of the Nala rulers. From the 4th-5th century AD, the Nalas rose to prominence with their headquarters at Puskari, modern Umerkote Tehsil of Nabarangpur district. Four of their inscriptions two on stones tells us a lot about their history. The copper plate inscriptions are Rithapur plates of King Bhavadatta Verman and the Kesari Bedha plates of King Arthapati. The rise of the Nalas posed a great challenge to the prestige and power of the Vataka monarchs and clash between these two powers become inevitable. The temporary eclipse of Nala power has been referred to the podagada stone inscription of Nabarangpur district, from where it was known that the lost glory and prestige of Nala Dynisty was retrieved by ScandaVerman, after defeating the V
