The teachers should not be assigned the work other than teaching. A teacher should not be deployed for cattle census, pulse polio, etc. The timings of Kendriya Vidyalaya are very long. The timings in KVS should be not more than four hours for students. However, the teachers may be retained for academic and ancillary work.

1. To implement the governments new education policies and quality standard of school education effectively, all private schools to be taken over by the Government. 2. So called quality standards are only "seen" on the paper but reality is far more different.3. Except local language, all other subjects course syllabus must be same all over the country. Then it is easy to assess the students at any level, any where. 4. Student are permitted to appear for examination at any center in country.

I have seen that a student is judged by his/her marks only. Only marks enable a student to become successful (most of the time). Programs for talent discovery and improvement are not much. If someone (or probably some talent discovery program) says that a student is talented in some field, then he/she/it says this (only) because the student has knowledge of the things in that field and probably not because he/she has the qualities that are necessary for going and being successful in that field.

I see that History subject is not taught in an interesting way. It is only told frankly what all happened. Students don't like the subject due to this only. The ICSE History book author says that the book for the students not only for learning history but also for learning from History. But History is only learnt, and that also mostly by mugging. The exams are also such that the students can excel in them by this way.

One thing that I don't like in the schools is that the students are given the knowledge of how to pass the exams. The teachers tell students that this can come in the exam and this is not required to learn and so on. The teachers don't tell the students that everything is important. Knowledge is not for exams, it is for life, it is for knowing your world, it is for knowing what to do...
