Examination reforms that focus on problem-solving, critical thinking and reasoning skills are critical to improving quality at the secondary level. Such reforms will change the teaching–learning processes and improve learning outcomes. In recent years, CBSE has introduced wide-ranging examination reforms in schools affiliated to it, such as Class X Board Examination has been made optional, Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) has been strengthened so that the students, are assessed on an ongoing basis for their holistic development, a system of grading in place of marks has been introduced. The objectives are to look at the existing systems and suggest reforms which would help better assessment of students.

previously oral and written exams were conducted to test the progress of students but this new evaluating process helps the teachers to assess the students in all areas of development where they show their creativity and talents.so the CCE pattern should be implemented in a better way.

FOCUS SHOULD NOT BE ON ROTE LEARNING BUT WHETHER STUDENTS REALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT THE CONCEPTS ARE. GREATER AUTONOMY FOR THE TEACHERS IN TERMS OF WHEN THEY HAVE TO ADMINISTER TESTS WILL INCREASE CHANCES OF STUDENT SUCCESS RATES RATHER THAN STRESSING ON SHORT CUTS TO MAXIMISE SCORES LOGIC AND REASONING SHOULD BE FOCUSSED ON. A STUDENT CONFIDENT TO EFFECTIVELY PROBLEM SOLVE WITHOUT GIVING UP SHOULD BE THE GOAL. I ENVISION AN INDIA TO BE A SUPER BRAINY FUTURE WITH SUPER COMPETITIVENESS.

CURRENT EDUCATION REFORM HAS TO BE IMPLEMENTED IN A BETTER WAY WITH A MORE DISCIPLINARIAN APPROACH. NO EXAMS CREATE A DECREASE IN THE FEAR OF EXAMS WHICH ACT CONTRARY TO WHAT A TEACHER EXPECTS. A TEACHER SHOULD WORK TOWARDS THE GREATER GOOD AND THAT IS TO REALLY SEE THAT THE LESSONS ARE UNDERSTOOD BY THE STUDENTS IN THEIR CLASSROOMS. MORE AUTONOMY TO THE TEACHERS AND THE GUIDELINES SET WILL SET A TIMELINE WHEN CERTAIN SKILLS ARE AGE -APPROPRIATE OR ADEPT TO CURRENT WORLD STANDARDS.
