Examination reforms that focus on problem-solving, critical thinking and reasoning skills are critical to improving quality at the secondary level. Such reforms will change the teaching–learning processes and improve learning outcomes. In recent years, CBSE has introduced wide-ranging examination reforms in schools affiliated to it, such as Class X Board Examination has been made optional, Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) has been strengthened so that the students, are assessed on an ongoing basis for their holistic development, a system of grading in place of marks has been introduced. The objectives are to look at the existing systems and suggest reforms which would help better assessment of students.

Questions should not be based on rote learning, they should invoke a student logical reasoning capabilities, creativity based like that. Also marks should be divided across various domains of curricula, tendency of making board exams lenient in name of decreasing pressure on students is not a way to solve the problem of quality education.

The way History is taught in this country is pathetic[sic]. In most schools the students have to mug up History and vomit it on the answer sheet. This myopic approach destroys the student's ability to comprehend and fully understand the implication of history, and why we are where we are today. So I would want to see students being taught history as a story, often with the help of numerous documentaries, and they should be encouraged to write answers to the point.

When evaluating the class X copies this year, total devaluation of the quality of students was obvious. this is the result of the current CCE system. If we want to save our new generation, the current CCE system and internal exam. system should immediately be removed. the cce system is totally immoral and corrupt. schools are giving marks free of cost or with cost from students. policy makers should come out of their fools paradise (AC room offices) and see the reality at ground level.

First of all it is necessary to do away with CCE system of evaluation. In my opinion this system has spoilt 3 generations. As a teacher I feel that I am not a teacher but a clerk who is busy in maintaining records and such type of records which a child has not earned by his effort but by the virtue of immoral practices. Any project, assignment, chart, model is available in market. A child knows that he can't be failed up to class8 whether he writes anything or not, which has created indiscpline.

Try to bring all school examination boards on same platform in the whole country as grooming the child in different format in different areas and then comparing them and discriminating is a very bad theory. Single standard of education will be a boon for education system.

At the same time the student will continue to learn the other subjects in a but should not feel the pressure of failure in those subjects except the one towards which his/her inclination lies. Also provision should be available for switching over to other subject as a subject of choice at a later stage (preferably before 8/9th standard). He/she has to perform and score good marks in the subject of interest whereas the marks other subjects may not be of that significance

To overcome the issues with student failure it is of utmost important to learn their inclination towards any subject from the very beginning, at least as early as possible. Students tend to get overburdened to learn so many subjects which becomes insignificant at the later stage of life. If any student is above-par on any given subject then he should be encouraged to excel in that particular subject and special care may be taken to ensure that need

Please stop this current grading system in school education (CBSE) which started by previous Govt.As a faculty in professional college,i observed that students skills and knowledge are significantly decreasing. Please bring back previous education evaluation system to retain the quality of our education.Stop passing students till class 8 which all states are currently following.today We bring up students with no skills and knowledge. Please rethink on this issue.

CCE Should be totally removed . As it provides free and compulsory education till eight standard,no one is going to fail as grading is done ,I think that the old system of board examination should be implemented again. The grading system in matriculation in cbse should also be completely brought to end so as to bring spirit of healty competiton .the menance of copying should be completely tackled with effective measures.
