To establish Itanagar as a smart city, every resident will play a crucial role. We hereby invite all Citizens of Itanagar to bring forth their opinions and feedback for transforming Itanagar into a smart city and voice their opinion through various Citizen Engagement platforms we are organizing like Workshops, Essay and Painting competitions for students in schools, Smart Itanagar Logo Design Competition, Vision Design Competition, Roadshows, Opinion polls, social media, household surveys and online discussions. These activities are focused on understanding the issues faced by the residents of the city and their vision for a dream Itanagar.

We are presenting in the image below some of the key features of Itanagar that we have identified through primary analysis of city administration data.

• Strengths (S) e.g. Scenic Natural Beauty
• Weaknesses (W) e.g. Poor Physical Infrastructure
• Opportunities (O) e.g. Tourism Industry
• Threats (T) e.g. Landslides

The citizens are requested to add on to these identified S-W-O-T features for Itanagar city and share their views with us.

The recycling plastic is big problem of Government. For this I had one suggestion. In order to make smart city road more durable the Government can use the Recycle bottles, plastic material which is in waste form. The plastic can be melted along with Tar and can be used in construction of road this will help to create more durable roads & will extend the life or Roads, even potholes can be fixed by using mixture of tar & recycle plastic Thus Government can solve the problem.

Smart city should have smart building, Complex & smart infrastructures. The energy should be provided form geothermal power from which is renewal energy from earth. All the flats should be connected with optic fiber & with internet connection & should be interlinked with each flat with video door camera. Waste should be collected by underground gas system. The Smart city should have Parking Tower it should be constructed by using new technology it will resolve the parking problem for city, Junctions. Even it can have Car Wash System and Maintenance Department for Cars. The Smart city should have smart connection. Smarty city should be connected to daily commuters, Tourist, Railways, Public safety authorities, shipping ports, Airport, Freight carriers and to government dept.. If all this get connected it will make the city more safer, efficient and more mobile world. With leading technology you will connect the machine. IMC website shows itanagar as 'Mini India' with its mix of ethnic and cosmopolitan characteristics. It should be a key strength.

Tinsukia City in Assam should be declared as a SMART CITY beacuse it's known as the commercial city of Assam where there are many Tea Industries.As well as Tinsukia City is located in the border of Assam and can be connected to South-East Asia.It has the Dibru-Saikhowa National park that boost's the tourism Industry.

This is a great Initiative by the digital wing of Arunachal Pradesh Government. Following is the SWOT analysis of Smart City Itanagar. Strength - Natural Heritage Weakness - Connectivity.
