This theme seeks to understand the complexities around having a robust framework for technology enabled education. Do we have the human and infrastructural facilities that can fully exploit the opportunities of TEL. To what extent do our institutions leverage the potential of ICT for improving access and quality of general and technical education and also faculty development.

Post 1: We should use the already available online content to give access to best and latest education material to our students. There are sites like khanacademy & coursera which we can use: https://www.khanacademy.org/ https://www.coursera.org/ This can be complemented with schemes such as "Aadhar Tablet" or similar ones being run by Central/State Governments. If this can be done, we are in position to partially bypass our constraints : Extensive Infrastructure, Best Teachers.

Technology may be a medium to make the undestanding of the concept easier but what the newd of the time is ,..we need developers not followers,...we use available technology to teach but how new technology will evolve is excluded,..system lacks to induce the idea of innovation rather what we are inducing is following ,...we need to induce the idea of innovation from 5th standard itself

I think every person understand the use of better use of technology enabled learning especially in case of Government institution. I think there should be something like "Corporate Responsibilities for providing technology enabled learning for the Government institutions" by providing support of their Research & Development (R&D Wing) to the institutions, as corporate/commercial organ. import/have modern/advance technologies in their production department including machinery/raw material etc.

My suggestion takes lead from DD Kisan channel. We had one channel called DD GAYN. This channel is not utilized fully. We should start 24x7 courses for these skills. Select a skill like tea, samosa, panipuri making Make one week program of not more than 3 to 4 hrs daily repeat the program for 24x7 Conti...

Skill is not at all about to have technical knowledge or doing technical job. Degree cannot justify skill. In India today we have many amateur skill people like tea, samosa vendor, pan wale, street food, carpenter, small builder etc. They just need guidance. No one in future will offer any kind of course for these skills as these people require for small job or self-employed. As tourism will grow in the country they will become important part of India’s image.

Our own Cutting Edge Research. Dear sir To do this at least in IIT and IISC for specific branches incentives to Mtech and Phd students should be increased to 30000 and 45000 respectively as in medical field. This would be beneficial as the scenario is 1. Management jobs are paying high. 2. Psu jobs seem to be more lucrative. 3. MS at foreign universities become more lucrative. 4. Students leave Mtech in between as they get job. Thanks & Regards Your admirer

Let us invite our country's big Industrial Giants like TATA's, MAHINDRA and others to be a part of Technology enabled learning. They can play an important role in MOOC's development by funding them along side GOI. In all developed countries Higher Academic Institutions receive funds from Industrial and Corporate Giants for progress and Development. They should fund the NPTEL program of IIT's and IISc's.
