I think India should stop taking away Passport of people who get Citizenship of other countries. Last year 70 billion came to India from Abroad by NRI. It can easily increase to 100 billion if India allows its Citizens to keep Indian passport of them and their children. When you have a passport- it is different from OCI. The connect to Invest and work for India from where ever they are is different from OCI. Please look at this aspect holistically as this is not a security threat to the country

We need to make our missions overseas function like ambassadors of the country and be welcoming both to NRIs and to foreigners. Some are very good at it (such as Hong Kong) but it is the visa process that really pulls us down. Most of the comments I hear from foreigners is around how complicated and bureacratic our visa process is. Suggestion: Do a poll on the country with the friendliest visa process and benchmark our process with that and try to be better than that. A small step like that will make a huge difference! And it is not difficult to do!

Is there anyway that I can communicate the problems I have encountered when I tried to setup an industry in India? I would like to bring the problems that I have faced in Revenue department during the entire process. I can definitely say, if these problems are not addressed then our MakeinIndia initiative will not be full filled especially for enthusiastic people like me. Hence I would like some one from our Modi Government to listen and address the problems that I have faced. Any inputs?

The Government can sponsor a Fund called NRI's Growth Fund aimed at the mutual benefits of both Govt. of India and the NRI's. The money can be utilized for Projects aimed at National Building Missions. NRI's while returning to India should be eligible to get a guaranteed return after completion period of the Fund.

Credit system in India. I have noticed that once your credit goes bad, it is bad for whole of your life. It should be changed as in Canada the bad entry stays up to seven years after that a person is given fresh chance to rebuild their credit. Some times banks or other lending agencies post negative entry in the credit rating system for wrong reasons and the person is default for all of his life or submit to bank's unilateral demands or blackmails otherwise you have bad credit Till you die.

I suggest to have a permanent passport number for indian citizen. Presently as and when the passport is renewed, number changes and there is whole lot of confusion due to several passport numbers for the same individual at different period of time.

I have problem with Bank. Have NRI accounts with SBI. They withdrew money from my accounts without my authorisation. Now they have refused to return my money over Rs. 20 lacs. It is over one year now. I have written to Chaiman, SBI, and Governor, Reserve Babk of India as Ombudman. No use for their input. Did not investigate at all. How can I have any faith in the TOTAL BANKING system to protect my deposits? Please ensure that every NRIs and local depositors money is safe. Dhanyabad.
