(Around 12.3 billion sanitary napkins, amounting to 113,000 tonnes of waste, reached India's landfills every year, according to a new study. Improper disposal and non-segregation from household waste leads to unhygienic working condition for waste workers, the report said.)
the main materials are usually bleached rayon (cellulose made from wood pulp), cotton and plastics. In addition, fragrance and antibacterial agents can be included.
There are many alter natives of sanitary napkin available ( there is pad made with cloth which we can reuse, there is menstrutional cup, tampon but still some women/girls are afraid to use it.
For which I have an idea
1. Pass it through water via turbine we can wash it which need energy ofcourse but we can also generate electricity via water energy.
2. After that we can pass it through squezzers
3. Now we have partially cleaned napkin
4. Now we have segregate the inner cotton layer from plastic coveri
