The outbreak of the global pandemic COVID -19 presents a challenging time for everyone around the world. Not only is this pandemic a serious medical concern, but it also brings mixed emotions and psycho-social stressors for all. There are emerging mental health concerns with specific focus on Children, Adolescents and Youth as they more vulnerable to heightened level of stress, anxiety and fearfulness, along with a range of other emotional and behavioral issues. COVID-19 has also brought new stressors on Teachers and Parents hampering their capacity to provide positive support to their wards. While it is important to focus on continuing education on the academic front, we must give equal importance to the mental health and well-being of the students.

Manodarpan, an initiative of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, under the AatmaNirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, aims at mobilizing psycho-social support to help Children, Youth, Teachers and Parents country-wide in a comprehensive and multimodal manner during conditions like COVID-19 and after. For more information, please visit www.mhrd.gov.in/covid-19/

MyGov in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, hereby invites citizens to share ideas and inputs to combat the psycho-social stress on School & College Students, Teachers and Parents, caused due to COVID-19 pandemic. Selected comments may be featured on social media.

Last date of sending us your inputs is 21st August 2020

honourable prime minister, sir! I am school student sir i am giving assingnments , practicals and a lot homework but sir how i can give practicals if iam not performing actually. my study is always like burden for me during this condition . it's better if teachers give only assignments nd instead of giving a lot of homework they give some time to do self - study and revision. thank you.

Psychological stress is root cause for all stress ailments particularity during this Covid-19 maintaining stress by children and aged is need of the hour. It is right time to stop high decible of sounds hours to hours causing more tensions leading to cardiac problems to old aged people and it is against to the rights of citizens. The schools are enforcing students to have online classes that too for long hours - almost 5 hours which has increased the students' screen time causing them major health issues like eye dryness, headaches, irritation, frustration as pressure of submitting HW + online exams....It seems the main motive of providing Education is lost. Imparting education is NO longer a noble profession. It is a very lucrative business done by successful business tycoons. Counselling to students is also charged

For maintaining mental health of different individuals its required to know about how are we managing ourselves in terms of our mental health, behavior, and the mentality we have in terms of anything we had go through and the society . Mental health is more important than physical health so we have to move accordingly as many simply don't think about that they just keep going with the same perspectives they had which may cause a problem .
