Kalyan-Dombivli is one of the 98 cities shortlisted to be developed as a ‘Smart City’ under the Smart Cities Mission of the Government of India. Kalyan Dombivli is in the process of revising the smart city proposal to participate in the Round-2 of Smart City Challenge.

KDMC appreciates the continuous support from citizens in the preparation of the plan. Further, the corporation invites the views and suggestions of the citizens on the draft proposal prepared for Kalyan-Dombivli. We hereby request you to provide us your valuable insights and suggestions on the proposal.

Affordable health facilities should be provided. Kalyan and Dombivli should be well connected to other cities. Roads should be widened and maintained properly. Proper waste management and segregation should be implemented .

If possible uapply unified transport system so that passengers will have to carry a single ticket or pass for different modes of transport.

Day care and recreation centre for senior citizens or old age people shpuld be set up where utmost care of such section of society is taken along with adequate medical facilities.

There should be proper traffic managements,pollution control,proper garbage collection. There should be rain water harvesting ,sufficient water supply,tree plantation for green kdmc.

Footpath should be made more wider so that pedestrian (at least 2 or 3 people in a row) can walk freely. strict Law should be enforced so that foot path is not occupied by shops and hawkers.

There should be proper garbage disposal.Well planned underground drainage system. Roads without potholes and advertisement banners.Tree plantation and their maintenance necessary to reduce pollution.
