Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has undertaken an exercise for review and revision of the National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship 2015. This has been necessitated considering rapid transformation in technology, emerging market requirements, changing global scenario, and evolving skilling and entrepreneurship landscape.

A draft of the National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, 2025 has been prepared that aims to provide a comprehensive framework for all skilling and entrepreneurship activities being carried out in the country, and to align them with the national priorities. The aspirations underlining the draft national policy are: scale, quality and inclusion. For realization of these aspirations, key principles, thrusts and enablers have also been indicated. The draft national policy also seeks to establish clarity, coherence and convergence for skill development and entrepreneurship promotion efforts across the country. To ensure that the revised National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, 2025 is aligned with current and emerging requirements, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India in collaboration with MyGov invites inputs/suggestions from general public as well as researchers, startups, civil society, and domain experts.

Dual degree has come into effect. But it is unacceptable that NCVT can be written once or. Various Trade jobs are decreasing. Many people are basic workers in many fields. For those jobs, higher positions require a departmental certificate. Therefore, an additional NCVT should be obtained through informal learning. Apart from the previous Trade theory and Practical, other subjects can use the marks of the first NCVT certificate. This will reduce the costs. UG certificate should also provide a solution for this.If informal learning experiences are transformed into educational credentials, it will lead to new social changes. Moreover, this opportunity should be provided by the Skill Sector Council of the relevant training sector. In addition, to encourage life long learning, an NCVT certificate based on informally learned profession should be provided once

The people should be provided and equipped with necessary skills so that they can contribute to the organisation. The training module should be scientifically prepared and they should be motivated for applying their skills in a positive way.
