The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) is a highly vibrant and dynamic sector of the Indian economy with over 6 Crore units, providing employment to 11 Crore+ people (after Agriculture), having 28% share of GDP and 40% of exports. Like other sectors, MSME also has been adversely affected in terms of productivity during COVD 19. Accordingly, the efficiency and productivity of MSME assume further significance to achieve overall objectives of economic development and a V shape recovery of the Indian Economy.

Draft National Policy for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in India is a continuation of various measures taken to date to promote competitiveness, technology upgradation, infrastructure, cluster development, dedicated credit, procurement of products & financial assistance to MSME.

Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises invites stakeholders, Industry Associations, MSME units and general public to share suggestions and comments on the Draft Policy. The purpose is to firm up adaptive and inclusive National Policy for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.

Consumer-acceptance is the critical factor in achieving success of the entire effort to promote the MSME Sector. The policy has to include a mechanism to monitor consumer response to the product manufactured and the consumer feedback on quality and price. A public portal can provide, with the help of suitable applications, ease of access for the monitoring body to specific category of product and search down to the manufacturer for initiating consultative action. The sheer bulk of data might appear to be overwhelming but once a beginning is made, up-gradation of the software will become possible. Outsourced data from major on-line sellers can supplement the information requirements.

Good initiative by the Ministry to encourage all the types of the small industries in India.Intention of our government is very good. Steps to be taken in this Policy are also worth appreciation. Especially, people who have lost everything during Pandemic will be benefitted due to this. Employment will increase. Skilled people will get the opportunity to show their skills, productivity, capacity etc. with the help of this policy implementation effectively. At the same time, all the people should keep in mind that they should make proper use of the financial help they received. They should do their work honestly with hard working. Most important thing is some people take loans, but don't return the money taken even after settling in their business.

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises create a very important role in our country but many problems faced by these industries: * Problem of raw material * Lack of Power * Problem of finance * Old methods of production * Problem of marketing * High cost of production * Competition with large scale industries * Limited demand for artistic goods * Lack of able entrepreneurs * Lack of standardisation * Industrial sickness Just think, How these problems solved?🤔🤔

Access to (even small amounts of) capital is the biggest hurdle. The banks do not provide an OD (overdraft) in all current accounts. OD is required to manage working capital because the payments from clients are delayed sometimes. Thank you.

Up-gradation of capacity and/or quality of the product in existing small and medium manufacturing units can contribute a substantial supplementary growth in the share of the MSME sector in national economy. To boost the process, advisory teams can provide on-site consultations at those units. A structured plan covering all the aspects, including financial and legislative, for a drive in this direction can be included in the policy.
