Inviting Suggestions on Draft India Data Accessibility & Use Policy 2022

The draft India Data Accessibility and Use Policy was published on MeitY website on February 21, 2022. Since its publication, MeitY has been receiving several comments and suggestions on the draft policy. It’s also observed that there is a need to bring in some more clarity with regard to some of the clauses in the draft policy so that the objectives of the Data Accessibility policy to enable better services is made amply clear. These clauses will be finalized after getting inputs of stakeholders in the consultation process Accordingly the draft policy document for consultations is being shared here.

Namaste Modiji, 1. Black market & FAKE medicines is a big business in India now. 2. Shops sell prescription drugs without prescriptions. 3. 24X7 medicine shops across India should be launched & advertised on all mediums. 4. Online stores offer upto 25% discount whereas local shops offer almost nothing. 5. All shops do not offer proper bills. Some stores evade GST by giving no invoices. 6. Doctors mostly prescribe brands even when generic medicines serve the purpose. 7. Govt should create a portal like social security number as in the USA where all patients' health data to be stored & can be retrieved using Aadhaar. 8. Govt to mandate all doctors to mention their registration number on prescriptions. 9. Doctors to be held accountable if they provide wrong treatment. 10. Private hospitals to be made more affordable for everyone. 11. Introduce more reliable pathology labs with online report availablity. 12. Cost of all life saving drugs to be made affordable. 13. Discounted medicines.

The points I like most are jotted down in PDF attached. The draft is the path on which one can travel to reach the destination. Some points may be lacking but when we start with next time we can inculcate the same and enrich its quality. Hence, draft is nice and can be the starter to implement the same. Practice makes man perfect.
