When considering our Jammu as Smart City, the first thing we should consider is physical appearance.Beautification of the city, maintaining cleanliness, making the surrounding dust free is the need of the hour.
The next thing which should be considered is the Infrastructure.Proper Roads with traffic lights(rather functioning traffic lights),lanes divided for 2 wheelers, bicyclists and heavy vehicles separately.

Sir,
i'm a resident of Jammu and i would like to present certain aspects bfr you
*Cleanliness of river Tawi. We all know how river tawi is living a worst life ever and more important than its beautification, its cleanliness needs to be done. It has become more of a city drainage system rather than a river
*Traffic management
*Better educational facilities
*Road connectivity with adjacent villages and town
*Medical facilities

Jammu a city of temples as it is called seriously needs some revolutionary restructuring namely:
Better quality roads and traffic management system,
Open spaces for parking and traffic movement,
Good drainage system,
Water conservation system,
New plan should follow the gridarian paTtern of Austria for smart city,
Medical facilities should be easily accessible,
Tourism should also be given due importance as it is backbone of j&k,
Agricultural lands should be properly distributed

The smart city of Jammu better be a planned one coz planning can make a good infrastructure and increase the efficiency, by using the money effectively. The government can adopt cost effective method for construction of roads and at least the government buildings. By doing this way it encourages private construction companies to adopt cost efficient constructions. For example the natural sunlight can be harnessed by GREEN BUILDING TECNIQUES,
