Increase the tax rate for individuals having income of more than 5 crores to 35 percent and also increase the slab rate thereby exempting all income up to, say, Rs. 7.50 lacs as not taxable... With this broader exemption, government can do away with 80C, 80D and similar other sections. Let the investments be selected based on the returns that they generate rather than tax exemptions they carry...

Govt. should do away with distribution based taxes... Dividend distribution tax, income distribution tax, etc. This is unfair as all taxpayers irrespective of the quantum of income get taxed at the same rate. Government should go back to income tax with such payments being subjected to withholding tax. Alternatively, distribution tax paid income shall not be considered as exempt income while disallowing proportionate costs incurred to earn that income... I.e., 14A should not apply to such income

whether government should continue with STT or income tax continues... Why don't government provide an option to the legal entity to decide on what they would like to be governed with... Such selection should generally be fixed for five years. In terms of practical implementation, all trades should be subject to STT and those who want to opt out of STT can claim a credit for STT paid by them while entering into such trades. This may help both the institutional investors and day traders.

Transactions in electronic forms can be easily traced, thus electronic transactions should be promoted in comparison to cash transactions and should also be made compulsory for large amount transactions.

GOI has recently waived off subsidy to those who have income more than 10 lacs. It should be made mandatory to submit income tax return details(ITR) if anyone wants to enjoy subsidy. If he/she is BPL then they can provide BPL card in place of ITR. Tax filing should be promoted. Also tax on interest on bank deposits should be waived off in order to promote deposits in banks. People should see/get benefits then only they will follow good practices like using bank accounts, paying tax etc.

My suggestion is regarding property tax .Most of the time a buyer buy a property on higher price but they are doing registree of lesser amount and pay less income tax and which cause black money flow in economy if tax department consider this case for few day and cross check the financial transactions which is done through FIs or Bank they are able to solve it out and fewer the chance of tax evasions
