Covering various aspects of topics related to the Panchayati Raj System, Schemes and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through this ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ iconic week, let’s provide a strong source of inspiration to all citizens of this country inviting their ideas on the PanchayatVision@2047.

A streamlined governance, especially at the local level benefits the nation as a whole. India is a signatory to the UN 2030 Agenda to achieve inclusive and people-centric sustainable development through the 17 SDGs.

Thus, with greater cooperation from the citizens of India, efforts of the Government of India and the local bodies towards a qualitative and quantitative transformation of the Panchayati Raj System would be fulfilled.

Last date to share your ideas is 14th May 2022.

Dear sirs, My views on Panchayat.. Vision 1. The basic concept of panchayat is development of village. 2. At. present almost every village is covered under Panchayat system. 3. But sorry to say that very few village has used the potential of Panchayat for real development of poor people or over all development. 4. The politics has divided the people & the. people who get selected. in. Panchayat takes care of FUNDS only. 5. In my view the election system for gram panchayat should END. 6. The selection of panchayat should be done by a panel having multi. discipline from every district. The election divides the people & society. 7. The working must be supervised by the same panel & the incompetent people must go. 8.The real development & solving people's problem need knowledge of What is to be done. How to do. How to use man power available. If a village develops of it's own. The NATION. develops. JAI HIND J K Tiwari

I believe education is the key. Atleast the saipan has to have a minimum knowledge of how the political structure works even if he/she are not educated highly. When we conduct exams for even a basic post such as a senior assistant, shouldn't a representative of a whole village be more aware and educated? Though I don't deny that people who haven't been educated can be good representatives , educated and good ones could make better representatives

The Panchayati Raj system brings 'power to the people', that's why it needs to be implemented in all areas, at a large scale. The idea of achieving SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) via Panchayats is impressive. Panchayat Head (Sarpanch) should ensure that all households gets clean drinking water, without any discrimination. Other goals, such as, ending hunger, quality education, equal rights for all, waste management, and easy access to public transport, can be achieved at grassroot level with the help of Govt of India. Our Hon'ble PM has reiterated it time and again, that India can't be prosperous until the very last person standing in the queue gets their due. 'Antyoday se Sarvoday' is our motto. All of this can be achieved only if the community comes together as a whole, and decides to put aside differences. Panchayats offer a great deal of potential, because it rewards merit.
