Since I have known the man income tax is a burden on salaried personnel. There had been a lot reforms in the income tax , but still feels a burden on salaried employees. Where as when it comes to business, there seems to be opportunity which are used or I must say are used as a tool to skip the income tax payments. My belief is that instead of income tax why don’t we do tax on payments that is done. For eg for a payment of 1000 rs one rupee should go as a tax to central government. This will not look like burden and will involve everyone from small redi wallas to salaried employees and top notch businessmen. Also, I also believe that there shouldn’t be any exclusion for MLA, MP and all the ministers.

Building a strong barrier to showcase our economy strength is fine, but that shouldn't directly affect on people of India, sudden increase in Taxes, prices, change in IT filing, concession is much appreciated, support and encourage the startup ideas, create a pattern of employments and give new opportunities to invite that money onto something! There are so many ways, Any hard decision taken shouldn't directly affect on us.

Last date of filing of TDS returns for Q4 is 15.05 every year. So by the time any assessee gets information in 26-AS, AIS/TIS it is already 31.05./ 15.06. So all CA's get only one/one and half months to file the returns of all assessees whose last date of filing is 31st July. By the time July is over, again CA's get only two months for filing of returns for auditable cases which is very short span considering new disclosures in Companies Act, Income Tax act ( Tax Audit Cases) . In olden days there were following dates for filing of the returns 30.06 salary / salary + other income other than busines 31.07 Business non auditable 30.09 Tax audit cases ( Non Corporates) 30.11 Corporate assessees Secondly if TIS/AIS/ 26-As can be made much earlier say by 10.05 by preponing date of Q4 TDS returns, assessees can get enough time to file the return. If we can make date of filing as mentioned above, I think compliance stress can be reduced to the greater extent.

There is major issue of accountability from any department and less coordination between ministries. I am a bronze level tax payer and from last so many years I don’t see any extra facility provided to loyal tax payers. Please make system where top projects can be seen with timeline. Also government schemes awareness should be provided to citizens by putting the advertisements on major social media platforms. Make social service as punishment for repeat offenders. Road transport - make car manufacturers provide maximum safety features in view of major highways are being introduced and negligent driving is on high. Give more rewards to public travel. Put more tax on luxury cars.
