Taking the vision of the new National Education Policy (NEP) as envisioned under the dynamic
leadership of our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, the Government of India has developed the National Credit Framework (NCrF) to enable the integration of academic and vocational domains to ensure flexibility and mobility between the two. NCrF would be a game changer by opening numerous options for further progression of students and inter-mingling of school and higher education with vocational education and experiential learning, thus mainstreaming skilling and vocational education. NCrF will also enable students who have dropped out of mainstream education to re-enter the education ecosystem.

NCrF will seamlessly integrate the credits earned through school education, higher education, and
vocational and skill education by encompassing the National Higher Education Qualification Framework (NHEQF), National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) and National School Education Qualification Framework (NSEQF). It also supports educational acceleration for students with gifted learning abilities and Recognition of Prior Learning for the workforce that has acquired knowledge and skills informally through the traditional family inheritance, work experience or other methods. The inclusive umbrella framework aims to make the options for Multiple Entry-Multiple Exit accessible and applicable across higher education, school education and vocational education, allowing students to choose their own learning trajectories and programmes.

The framework has been jointly developed by a committee constituted by the Government with members from UGC, AICTE, NCVET, NIOS, CBSE, NCERT, Department of School Education and Literacy & Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, DGT, and Ministry of Skill Development under the guidance of Union Minister of Education and Minister of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.

The Government is inviting comments and observations by the 30th of November on the document
which is available in the link below for download.

Credits framework should not reserve seats education should be based on merit not caste reservation prevents deserving students from gaining seats ,Also it's unfair that passing qualification is far less and other education benifit is far more for ST and SC they should be treated as equal and Reservation system is education should be abolished It would just lead to hatred in minds of others for ST and Other castes Also Caste system is abolished and favorism for ST and SC should be abolished as well

We appreciate the teams' efforts to bring change in the education system of the country. National Credit Framework is one such step in the direction. Following are the questions to be given a thought: 1. If credits are accumulated, how does the learner redeemed them and how does he / she know the institutions where the redemption can be done? 2. In case, credits are not visible, whom does the learner approach / grievance redressal mechanism? 3. How will the seats be distributed in HEl.s for non-ABC registered students? 4. Will there be a standard admission procedure for all HEl.s across the country? 5. Will credit framework be mandatory for all the Higher Education Institutions across the country? If no,how do non registered institutions admit learners from different zones? 6. Can Ed-Tech companies offering registered courses (NSDC / NCVET) and undergoing assessment, register themselves on ABC? Government must make it mandatory for all academic courses to have internships or skill training in industry. And all industries should open for internships with academic. This will close the skills gap between academics and industry expectations
