Foreign universities which have proved their excellence should be allowed to open their campuses in India. This will thrive a new educational environment in India. Many indian students go abroad for quality international education. MOOCs should be encouraged and Indian courses should be provided on these channels.

There are institutions swhich have tried to bring a global perspective to higher education and depicted excellent standards but the degree provided by them is not recognized by any Indian body. These institutes are also featured in top 50 Business Schools of the world bu Financial Times. Please work towards recognizing and encouraging such institutes as they provide the right platform at par with the Stanfords, Whartons and Harvards of the world.

Let us not touch and change the existing world famous institutes such as IITs/IIMs/IISc etc Let us focus on creating more of these types. Changing names of existing proven universities/instts is a bad idea. Instead we should create another Univ/instt of the new(proposed) name in the same geographical territory. That way, the legacy of older & famous Univ would be intact and the name-changers would get a chance to be game-changers by working harder for creating a good brand of a new univ/instt.

We have many institutions with international standards or some with near international standards. We should create more institutions so that we can reserve a certain percentage of intake in them for foreign students. We can charge a handsome fees from these students and give them quality education. The cost of setting up and running institutions can be met from the income. This also facilitates in bringing the Indian Culture to the students abroad and make them propagate it in their countries.

Education is a basic need for a human being just like food, clothing & shelther. Indian education is great but we need to implement the international system. For example : From Lkg to 5 th standard free education must be provided only for the country citizens Results deduction in child labour. From 6th to 12th , Scholarships or 50% fees off for school toppers in all subjects Results more graduates & higher studies. Then special scholarships for Sports,Nss,Ncc students in graduation...

Public expenditure on higher education must reach atleast 6% of GDP,which was recommended in early 60's by KOTHARI commission. Present weather conditions are depriving youth to look forward towards agriculture.Increase in finance for higher education, more scholarships for meritorious students irrespective of caste should be introduced. Private stakeholders would be encourages to participate in financing higher education by offering some incentives either tax exemptions or by offering profit % .

India might have far greater number of educational institutions for engineering but still the quality of education is too bad.. first of all government needs to show interest and belief on private education facilities too and give them chance to develop and do innovative work... I know lots of engineering collage in jharkhand having way too good facilities and faculty but it lags due to sluggish boards/university.. Its taking approx 5 years now to complete B.Tech In jharkhand..

The taleneted youth of india coming from IITs are prefering to live and study abroad, only to the loss of our country.Studying abroad is an important aspect to globalisation of eduaction. Not only should we leave outside to learn, must also students from other countries come here, but the attitude of our country to foreignors is ashaming. India needs to make better partners and act as one, so that not only we have a chance but can foreignors also.Presently india is lacking partners in edu.(FACT)
