There are very many realizations of the pitfalls of the present education system. The preamble seems to be a good remedy, be it introduction of measures for school dropouts, two types of exams in Math, English and Science, teacher training etc. All students can be brought under school mid day meals scheme, and scholarship numbers shall be increased.

After the RIGHT TO EDUCATION ACT has been implemented, it will be good to scrap the 'PUBLIC CUM GOVERNMENT SCHOOL EDUCATION SYSTEM" because it is ulma matter of corruption because all the teachers who wants to get recruited in government teachers job adopts all sort of tactics even though they don't deserve job on merit.
Often GOVERMENT SCHOOL teachers & principal derilict their duties by abstaining from schools.
Often GOVERMENT SCHOOL teachers & principal are busy in tution

First of all, we should have a centralized education system with importance given to the state local languages. The centralized board will standardize the education system. The students should be given the option of writing their exams in vernacular language. Secondly, we should do away with the mark system and point should be introduced. More points should be awarded for sports, behavior, social service, general knowledge, skills. The above will help the youngsters distress and perform better.
