We should try to point out where the water is being wasted like in ghaziabad where ppl are using underground water for cattle bathing. Water is wasted like worthless thing. Illiterate ppl think that underground water can not be finished. There should be a team who can literate them to save the water as they don't listen if anybody asks them to save water.

Establishment of cattle parks in villages with perennial ponds maintained through rain water harvesting and solar pumping in dry season can boost milk industry & improve rural economy. Solar pumps with added benefit of lighting can provide a better alternative in ground water irrigated areas. Co-ordinates efforts by respective deptts of solar and minor irrigation with farmers can bear fruits. All farmers should also find some work in cottage manufacturing of easily marketable goods.

Banega Swachch Kashmir: Dal Lake and other areas in Kashmir are in need of a thorough Environmental Clean-Up & Remediation. A team of Scientists/Engineers from different parts of the country could Study, Investigate, and offer solutions - with the help/support of authorities and local people. An Environmental Coordinator (maybe Masarat Alam) will be necessary to get support & ensure safety. Tunnel Vision applied at Key Locations & Issues, can cure festering sores.

For a better tomorrow, I suggest the following:- 01. Protect all the natural water resources including Lakes, Marshy Lands, Ponds, wells, streams, rivers, Paddy fields, etc. 02. Water percolates to the earth very slowly. We must prevent rain water wastage by harvesting it through various means. 03. Build at least one large pond in every Panchayats and villages to harvest rainwater and replenish the water table. 04. Prevent unnecessary digging of borewells; promote open wells. Link revers
