One of the important endeavors of the present government has been to improve the 'Ease of Living'. In simple words, this means that the citizen-government interface, in matters of daily routine, must be made as seamless as possible and as citizen friendly as possible. Among other things, this has translated into reforming many rules and regulations and in an overwhelming number of cases completely doing away with such antediluvian rules which had not only outlived their utility, but in many cases were frankly anti-people. The mandate has been clear - between the citizens and the governments, the rules and processes must defer to ensuring the ease of living of citizens.

Consider for example the earlier rule of seeking gazetted officers attestation to validate one's documents before appearing in exams. That rule is now history. Trusting the citizens was the mandate and self-attestation is now the new rule. Or consider the move to scrap interviews for non-gazetted Group D, C and B government jobs. In one stroke the entire industry of 'recommendations' has been shut down and pure merit has become the norm.

What are other such outdated and ill-conceived rules, regulations or practices that hinder the normal day to day lived experience of the people? In day-to-day governance issues what are the processes or system that can be simplified or simply done away with? Which are processes that serve the exact opposite purpose they are intended to serve? Rules, regulations and laws that serve no useful social purpose but merely create unnecessary red tape and bureaucracy and therefore need to go?

MyGov invites citizens, members of civil society, journalists, students, teachers, police officers, government employees, Parliamentarians, academics experts, bureaucrats, social media influencers, Think Tanks and all other interested people to give their considered view on the subject.

In hariyana girls are being brutally tortured and killed. These are happening because ,our protection laws are soft We need hard laws and hard process of implementing this laws. Hard punishment in front of people is the best process to punish those criminals , who torture women. These type of punishment gappens in Saudi arabia. Punishment inside jail has no effect on future crimina.Punishent in front public, creates panic created in criminals.Government are men dominated never respect women.

I really interested in changing Government rules and regulations. we must improve some new rules in our system. 1) 1st, we should form India as a reservation free country. 2) All court cases to be clear and to be asked to file as new for time-bound resolution. 3) Min.2 Yrs compulsion in Indian force for each individual. 4) No reservation on caste base in government employment.(pick only true talent) 5) No benefits or reservation based on the caste. 6) Make online election voting system.

Dear PM, first, I would like to thank you for removing several unnecessary rules like police verification of passport etc. But there are many others innumerable numbers of rules in public affairs which always create trouble for the public. So I request you to make the system more transparent to eliminate the corruption from India. thank you

Government is bringing laws for property got from inheritance. I am giving an example. If a poor farmer has a hut & after his death his son and wife is living in that hut. Will they be able to pay 30% property tax of that hut. If that son's age is 18 17 yrs and he has no income.Rajib gandhi government withdraw this law after thinking much about the problems of people. But I see Modi government never thinks about Poor and middle class people.

Dear Sir, It has been observed for updating KYC details Aadhar,PAN and self account details in the UAN website for withdrawal of PF,why the organisation-where the employee is working is required to authorize details.Again this rule adds to the red tapism of the organisation/industry an individual is working. The authenticity of details should be verified by the concerned employee only and Organisation/industry has no business to authorize details.Avoid red tapism and make ease of PF Withdrawal.

Efforts should be made where citizen have less hassle for government services and for travelling to domestically and internationally. Like all government services should be available at door steps of citizens. This will save office infra as well as manpower. Internationally entries must be made passport and visa free.(digital technology can be utilised for this. All monthly bills like Electricity, water, gas, phones must be made only thru electronically. Economy must be paperless in all ways

At present there is too much corruption in fixing the House Tax .it can be very eaisly removed if the tax is levied on area of plot which is fix so no one can do any game in fixing less tax by taking bribe as in present.this is very practical and easy but i can not understand why it has not been done so far?.This will also increase the income of Municipal corporations as the plots purchased and leaft for sell on higher rates are not attracting any tax at present.
