One of the important endeavors of the present government has been to improve the 'Ease of Living'. In simple words, this means that the citizen-government interface, in matters of daily routine, must be made as seamless as possible and as citizen friendly as possible. Among other things, this has translated into reforming many rules and regulations and in an overwhelming number of cases completely doing away with such antediluvian rules which had not only outlived their utility, but in many cases were frankly anti-people. The mandate has been clear - between the citizens and the governments, the rules and processes must defer to ensuring the ease of living of citizens.

Consider for example the earlier rule of seeking gazetted officers attestation to validate one's documents before appearing in exams. That rule is now history. Trusting the citizens was the mandate and self-attestation is now the new rule. Or consider the move to scrap interviews for non-gazetted Group D, C and B government jobs. In one stroke the entire industry of 'recommendations' has been shut down and pure merit has become the norm.

What are other such outdated and ill-conceived rules, regulations or practices that hinder the normal day to day lived experience of the people? In day-to-day governance issues what are the processes or system that can be simplified or simply done away with? Which are processes that serve the exact opposite purpose they are intended to serve? Rules, regulations and laws that serve no useful social purpose but merely create unnecessary red tape and bureaucracy and therefore need to go?

MyGov invites citizens, members of civil society, journalists, students, teachers, police officers, government employees, Parliamentarians, academics experts, bureaucrats, social media influencers, Think Tanks and all other interested people to give their considered view on the subject.

government hospitals is strongest point. if we are running hospitals in various places, than why a tax payer people are prefering private hospitals?? either make it better or close it & give a medical amount to BPL card holders & for tax payer, it should be less in taxation

Respected PM sir, please pay attention towards the reservation problems faced in India. Reservation based on caste won't work in modernizing India. We need an improved system so that the needy get the actual benefit and those having the capacity to compete gets exempted. I would suggest a reservation based on the financial income (open for a healthy discussion though).

In India,we have flyovers in many cities.Muncipal Corporations (MCs)can get additional income by conducting exhibitions on them.In a year,we have 52 sundays,3 national holidays, many festivals.During these days, traffic on flyovers is less. So,If MCs conducts exhibitions on them in holidays, they can get more income without expenditure. In the exhbitions stalls of electronic, automobilie, food, books, cloth, start up co.s,handicrafts should available. In India, crimes mainly like sexual harassment,Robberies,Dowry harassments increased. When a person is caught by doing crime, police(along with lawyers) can take him to his family members, media should be permitted.Tell the family members the situation.Ask them what punishment should be given to him. They must suggest a punishment to culprit because If they ask to forgive culprit,it gives chance to others to commit a crime on their family members. In India, many people do love marriages by knowing everything about his/her lover. So,divorce could be not given to them when they apply for it.Because,in courts, lakhs of divorce cases are pending. But, in two conditions divorce can be given: 1) if anyone of the couple did not get divorce and cheat new spouse that he/she got divorce. 2) If anyone of the couple's spouse is alive, but he/she cheats other that his/her spouse is dead.
