One of the important endeavors of the present government has been to improve the 'Ease of Living'. In simple words, this means that the citizen-government interface, in matters of daily routine, must be made as seamless as possible and as citizen friendly as possible. Among other things, this has translated into reforming many rules and regulations and in an overwhelming number of cases completely doing away with such antediluvian rules which had not only outlived their utility, but in many cases were frankly anti-people. The mandate has been clear - between the citizens and the governments, the rules and processes must defer to ensuring the ease of living of citizens.

Consider for example the earlier rule of seeking gazetted officers attestation to validate one's documents before appearing in exams. That rule is now history. Trusting the citizens was the mandate and self-attestation is now the new rule. Or consider the move to scrap interviews for non-gazetted Group D, C and B government jobs. In one stroke the entire industry of 'recommendations' has been shut down and pure merit has become the norm.

What are other such outdated and ill-conceived rules, regulations or practices that hinder the normal day to day lived experience of the people? In day-to-day governance issues what are the processes or system that can be simplified or simply done away with? Which are processes that serve the exact opposite purpose they are intended to serve? Rules, regulations and laws that serve no useful social purpose but merely create unnecessary red tape and bureaucracy and therefore need to go?

MyGov invites citizens, members of civil society, journalists, students, teachers, police officers, government employees, Parliamentarians, academics experts, bureaucrats, social media influencers, Think Tanks and all other interested people to give their considered view on the subject.

Why these private schools don't comes under income tax slab. If they can charge 150000₹ for class LKG admission, they can easily pay tax on it. And this will help in increasing the tax collection of the county and also helps in the welfare of society. Atleast create a criteria for private school in fee structure . The education will become cheaper and the people will get their basic right.

I'm from Bengaluru. I see most Cab owner-cum-drivers working for ola/uber struggle working non-stop for 18 hours or more. Many of them come from small villages. City rent is too expensive for them, so they sleep in their car. The current fuel prices is pinching them badly. They are struggling with car EMÏs,insurance, maintenance and App fees. And now the fuel prices. Please do give them a support price directly for a year or two. Lot of rural families are dependent on their income.

sir, Its my humble request that the work load of our government officials should be reduced to an extent so that they may work efficiently and this can be done by introducing new post and hence this would also generate employment ...all this would be possible only if the backward youth along with the poor and needy would be given basic+advanced education in higher institutions. By reducing this work load we will surely enable them to them work efficiently and at their best. thanking you!!

(1) Supreme court upheld "The Right to Privacy" in 2017 but TELECALLERS mock at the very idea as probably everyone is aware. They intrude a person's privacy AT WILL - SHOWING NOT A SLIVER OF RESPECT either for a person's time & much less about what SC avers. I have an econo-legal idea that is VERY MUCH POSSIBLE & can also fetch a lot of revenue both to the service providers as well as to the government in addition to paying the AAM JANTA for their time. Where do i submit the idea ?

Pradhan mantri bima suraksha yojna should be available for gifting to the underprivillaged as gift with authentication as Aadhar for the beneficiary, and could be purchased online by the Third Party. I have tried to gift such insurance to my house maid but for that she has to maintain balance of require amount on the renewal dates. it should be available for online purchase just as I purchase my car insurance online.
