One of the important endeavors of the present government has been to improve the 'Ease of Living'. In simple words, this means that the citizen-government interface, in matters of daily routine, must be made as seamless as possible and as citizen friendly as possible. Among other things, this has translated into reforming many rules and regulations and in an overwhelming number of cases completely doing away with such antediluvian rules which had not only outlived their utility, but in many cases were frankly anti-people. The mandate has been clear - between the citizens and the governments, the rules and processes must defer to ensuring the ease of living of citizens.

Consider for example the earlier rule of seeking gazetted officers attestation to validate one's documents before appearing in exams. That rule is now history. Trusting the citizens was the mandate and self-attestation is now the new rule. Or consider the move to scrap interviews for non-gazetted Group D, C and B government jobs. In one stroke the entire industry of 'recommendations' has been shut down and pure merit has become the norm.

What are other such outdated and ill-conceived rules, regulations or practices that hinder the normal day to day lived experience of the people? In day-to-day governance issues what are the processes or system that can be simplified or simply done away with? Which are processes that serve the exact opposite purpose they are intended to serve? Rules, regulations and laws that serve no useful social purpose but merely create unnecessary red tape and bureaucracy and therefore need to go?

MyGov invites citizens, members of civil society, journalists, students, teachers, police officers, government employees, Parliamentarians, academics experts, bureaucrats, social media influencers, Think Tanks and all other interested people to give their considered view on the subject.

Dear Prime Minister Ji, We have diversity of culture, traditions, languages, religions, etc, but we need to have just ONE IDENTITY as INDIANS. While Aadhar is a good drive, can we also make the Driving Licence as just "ONE Driving Licence for India", instead of each state issuing its licence & citizens face procedural hurdles of getting it renewed/transferred/Noc from issuing state, as they grow old. Pls change it to just ONE INDIAN DRIVING LICENCE. It has lot of benefits for Govt & citizens.

Empowerment of women is necessary not only through the schemes related with but also in the society the women particularly girls students when they go outside of the house for attending schools and colleges. No country can be civilised without it. We have seen those countries, where feminist movements took place and the government proceeded ahead, have been civilised later. Civilization and women empowerment is correlated each other.

Methods of Inventions & Innovations:- There are many rules those are made or see by scientists & people in this world or we can say that humans have made or see this laws and rules of Sciences. If we have to do new inventions or innovations then we have to break the laws and rules or we have to apply the laws and rules or we have to make new laws and rules. Either these are made from previous one or these are new ones. Possible-> Next Impossible-> Remaining in the image..

Jandhan, AADHAR, and Mobile phone (JAM) do combine justifiably for maximising effective governance an objective of the PM for which the country loves him. The nation has covered a significant distance towards achieving this objective but unfortunately we are yet to establish a faultless system to provide the required assistance or to put in place a reasonably workable method for the citizens to effectively solve the problems relating to their AADHAR DATA. OTP for. Updating data is not generated.

This has reference to Press statement of Hon'ble EAM Sushma Swaraj ji on waiving off the requirement to provide proof/certificate of marriage in case of married men/women. Unless it is already thought of would like to know in case of renewal wherein there is a change in the application in respect of Entry under Spouse Name, how is it ensured that it is validated. Please check scenarios in the reply to this post
