One of the important endeavors of the present government has been to improve the 'Ease of Living'. In simple words, this means that the citizen-government interface, in matters of daily routine, must be made as seamless as possible and as citizen friendly as possible. Among other things, this has translated into reforming many rules and regulations and in an overwhelming number of cases completely doing away with such antediluvian rules which had not only outlived their utility, but in many cases were frankly anti-people. The mandate has been clear - between the citizens and the governments, the rules and processes must defer to ensuring the ease of living of citizens.

Consider for example the earlier rule of seeking gazetted officers attestation to validate one's documents before appearing in exams. That rule is now history. Trusting the citizens was the mandate and self-attestation is now the new rule. Or consider the move to scrap interviews for non-gazetted Group D, C and B government jobs. In one stroke the entire industry of 'recommendations' has been shut down and pure merit has become the norm.

What are other such outdated and ill-conceived rules, regulations or practices that hinder the normal day to day lived experience of the people? In day-to-day governance issues what are the processes or system that can be simplified or simply done away with? Which are processes that serve the exact opposite purpose they are intended to serve? Rules, regulations and laws that serve no useful social purpose but merely create unnecessary red tape and bureaucracy and therefore need to go?

MyGov invites citizens, members of civil society, journalists, students, teachers, police officers, government employees, Parliamentarians, academics experts, bureaucrats, social media influencers, Think Tanks and all other interested people to give their considered view on the subject.

सरकारी विभाग should stop harassing which is possible when every government department and banks will stop harassing its employees Mandatory posting at home town wil help in easing life stress फार्म 16 एवं 16 ए. टैक्स रिटर्न फाइल करने से पहले हर विभाग अपने कर्मचारी को दे देता है It should be made mandatory to send at the addresses of retired employees atleast if it is not possible to issue form 16 in time Because there seems no mandatory time bound date Bank/Govt सुझाव platform ?

for ease of doing business , I suggest a trust based permission system ,whereby all the details of all the norms & regulations for setting up a facility r put up on a website & the industry has to notify the govt at each step . This will reduce time required & the penalty under this system has to be double than normal , it will improve compliance & curb corruption , plus if factory is unhappy with an inspector they can ask for substitute max 3 times, all the norms shld b on 1 site

Honourable PM of India, MCI when its grants new medical colleges in pvt sector, have not been able to renew /recognize the institute citing non compliance. MCI norms have to be relaxed based on geography institute operates. After MBBS completion, students are going through high mental stress, as they are unable to write NEET PG exams due to lack of recognition of institute. Students are at no fault. Request to use your good offices to bring changes in MCI workings in the interest of students.

Sir, I deeply feel that each government department should be completely paper less. Means all the internal work within each department should be electronically, there should be one management software through which all should work. a software like banking should be there in each govt dept, there should not be any duplicate of data.this will increase the productivity & real time data will be available,it will eventually help take prompt policy decision.there should not be any printer in any dept
