To prepare the Smart City Proposal for Warangal, Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation has conducted extensive citizen outreach programme through ward level meetings, stakeholder meetings, self-help group meetings, distribution of 100,000 feedback forms, essay writing competition, digital poster competition, over 400 select group interviews, face book, e-mails, twitter, MyGov portal, GWMC portal, distribution of 100,000 fliers, advertisements in newspapers, local cable and theaters etc.

As per the Smart City Mission guidelines and feedback received from the Citizens during the Round 1 and Round 2, GWMC has prepared Smart City Proposal covering following major aspects.

• Vision for the City
• Area Base Development Project – Retrofitting of Warangal Central Area (About 1500 Acers)
• Pan City Solution for the City – Smart Urban Mobility for Warangal Lifeline Corridor (Kazipet to Warangal Station)

In this context, Citizens are requested to review the "Draft Smart City Proposal Warangal" and give their valuable suggestions by 11th December 2015.
